Greetings. I'm very pleased to meet you.

Welcome to my little corner of the web. My name is Julian Vu, and I am a newly-graduated MBA ready to take on the world. My background areas are primarily focused in marketing and commercial real estate, though all aspects of business intrigue me. Most of my work has been in marketing research, and helping run the family business which at this moment is based in commercial real estate development. I am always looking for new avenues to venture upon. Currently at the young age of 24, I still look forward to experiencing many new things, seeing new places, and most importantly meeting new people.

I've been born and raised in the south. It was here that I attended the University of Southern Mississippi whereby I received my Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration (Summer 2007). I continued on to Loyola University of New Orleans, where I recently received my Masters of Business Administration (Spring 2009). Currently, I am working in the family business taking the place of my late father. The south, as well as my family, have taught me important lessons, primarily showing respect for others. I come from a family that came to America with nearly nothing, who truly lived the American dream and worked their way to being where they are today. Being raised in a household like mine has taught me the value of the dollar, as well as what it is to be truly American; hard-working and constantly innovative. Lessons like these have strengthened my work ethic, taught me discipline, and developed strong morals and values, which I live by every day.

Interests

From a career standpoint, I find many aspects of marketing fascinating. Though marketing in itself is a broad term, I find myself attracted to creative and sustainable marketing. Though these terms may seem like buzzwords that are easily misused or simply thrown around, I am a fervent believer in their legitimacy. Most people are drawn to creative marketing because they find its aesthetic and artistic value to be rewarding. Little has been done however, in connecting the effectiveness of Creative Marketing with it's actual Return on Marketing Investment. I hope to contribute to this ongoing study of that relationship.

Outside of marketing, I'm very interested in the hospitality industry, the aviation industry, and both commercial and residential real estate development. I'm currently open to any career paths, however, I would like to end up in either of these three industries.

My many hobbies include photography, traveling, playing music, and cooking.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If we haven't already met in real life, then I hope that our paths will one day cross. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email, which can be found in the contact section of this website.

Sincerely,

Julian T. Vu
